Introducing add-ons

Add-ons are optional rewards backers can include in their pledge. Think accessories, expansion packs, movie posters—anything that complements the main reward.

Kickstarter creators have been unofficially offering add-ons for a long time. Until now, this meant listing add-ons on the project page and asking backers to do some quick math and manually increase their pledge, leaving the details to be sorted out later. We know it’s a headache for backers and creators alike.

Now, select creators can offer add-ons in their campaigns. Backers can choose them while completing their pledge, making the process simpler. Plus, they’ll count toward a project’s funding goal.

Apply to join the beta test

Are you currently drafting a project and interested in offering add-ons? We’re still accepting requests and would love to hear from you. Head to the Rewards tab and click “Offer add-ons” to make your way to the application so we can confirm your eligibility.

Not all creators who apply will be able to join the beta test, but we plan to make the feature available to everyone once we’ve tested it thoroughly.
